“Go into all the world and preach the gospel to
all creation.” Mark 16:15 (NIV)
Could this be your daily prayer? “God, come today
and live in me—in my heart and mind and emotions—in such a way that You become
a fountain of life inside me. May that fountain of the water of life—the Holy
Spirit rain—flood through me, whether I am aware of it or not. Wash me, infuse
me and use me as a porous container that is constantly filled to the brim and
overflowing continuously to everything and everybody around me. May every human
contact be flooded with Holy Spirit love and wisdom, so that at any moment of
any day You will be spontaneously poured out through me to fill the empty and
hurting places in others. Use my thinking, my speaking, my tone of voice, my
body language, to express Who You are, How You love, and What You freely give.”
“I ask You, Lord, to creatively expand my world
to include more human beings who need You and who can be given hope and energy,
peace and freedom with the endowments you've given me—my simple speech,
generous love and whatever words are appropriate in Your sight at the moment
You want to use me.
